About the Producer

My name is Eric Nelson. I have developed this website to give you, a place to go to learn a little more about the world of amateur motocross racing. Along with this website I also produce an
amateur motocross show that airs on many local public access channels in Northern Illinois. This show also gets sent overseas to a few of our military troops. It is intented to provide you with a
look at what goes on at the race track, along with interviews, and helpful tips.

Yes, the realization of racing is that not everyone wins!  Maybe next week you'll have a better race!! You may crash or even breakdown, but the biggest thing to remember is that as long as the
rider is fine with little or no injuries, you can always fix a bike or quad!  I could go on for hours about the excitement and the heartbreak of racing, but it truly wouldn't justify it!

Motocross is one of the toughest sports in the world.  At the amateur level the ages vary from 4 years old all the way to 70 years old. Let me tell you, to see someone make that first double or to
win their first race, is totally exciting!!  The confidence that they gain is out of this world! Another thing I find amazing about this sport is the friendships that are made! When they're out on the track
racing against one another, it is all business, then they come off the track and the racing is done-- they say "good job" and remain friends!

Some people have asked me why I do this. The answer is simple, really.  I do this because I want people to experience the thrill of motocross/ATV racing.  I want them to see just how much family
involvement goes into his sport.  I do this because I feel there is a need for someone to tape these types of sports at the amateur level. I also do this because I  have a son who races in this sport.
This year he is moving up to the 85 Sr. class.

Yes, it's true, you can see motocross racing on television, but it's professional racing.  Don't get me wrong, I thoroughly enjoy the professional races just as much as the next person, I just think it
would be great for people to see how the professionals got  their start.

By watching the show, you are able to see some of the possible up and coming pro's from our local district
